[May 15, 2006]

Touch A Quarter Century and Silver Squares, Inc., is very mindful of the importance of protecting your private information. Here is a description of information we collect, and what we do with it.

Registration Data

The Convention organizing committee uses a private database to store all registration data you submit, either by printed form or through the Convention web site. We will use your data in the course of producing the Convention and to contact you from time to time with information about the Convention. Access to your data is restricted to those people who have an active need for it in order to carry out their responsibilities with respect to the Convention. We maintain access controls to prevent unauthorized disclosure.

Unless you direct otherwise on your registration form, we may provide your personally identifiable information to IAGSDC-approved organizations such as the 10-year medallion project (to determine your eligibility for the medallion) and future conventions (for use in their registration processes). You may wish to refer to the IAGSDC's privacy statement. We will not give your registration information to any other entity, except in statistical summaries.

Email

Email messages you send through the web site contact form, or directly to addresses at www.taqc.org, are treated as private correspondence. We use these messages to help facilitate communication between you and us. We use your email address from these messages only in the course of responding to the message (or otherwise as you request).

Email addresses that you give to us through the registration process are subject to the same sharing policies as noted above for registration data. It is our intent to send only text-based messages in limited quantities to these addresses, with links to the web site for more detailed content and images.

We use email messages as the preferred method of communication to Convention registrants, both for cost and timeliness reasons. If you provide an email address, we may send you Convention information through this method (subject to this policy) even if you state on your registration form that you prefer postal mail for official communications; however, we will follow up with official information through postal mail in this case.

Web site

The web site server maintains a standard log of page accesses for use in site maintenance. Information recorded includes URL of page requested, access time, ip address of the requestor, and URL of any referring site. We do not track individual accesses. We will not release access data to outside parties unless we determine in good faith that it is necessary (such as investigation of improper access).

The web site does not use or require browser cookies except to maintain session information during certain interactive activities such as registration and merchandise ordering. All cookies set by the site are stored only for the duration of the browser session.
